I took this while on a road trip through Northern California. It is located in the National Redwood Park. It is a train track build over a creek, but don’t let these facts interfere with your imagination. Where else could this be? What would it be like to travel over this bridge? Would the bridge break? Is someone traveling to see a loved one, or is someone walking on the tracks and heading to some secret place?

It’s just gorgeous.
It heads up the remote hill to Appalachia. I see poverty and devastation surrounded by beauty and promise.

I’m most curious about the one section that doesn’t match the others…

Janna – That would be a great idea for a ‘rags to riches’ story.
Melanie – I noticed that too. I wondered if they ran out of supplies, or perhaps they had to rebuild it for some reason.

Looks like a truly breathable place, with trees. What I can imagine the most, is happiness and love of a family living in a wooden hut in this environment. Despite the look of the bridge, the beauty is what one sees in the picture.
